Northern Michigan University: Scotland Tour
In the summer of 2011 a group of students from Northern Michigan University took their classroom to the road and traveled to Scotland, where they spent 2 weeks traveling around the country. The first days were spent hiking Ben Nevis, visiting the local distillery, and more hiking at the fascinating Isle of Skye. After the Isle of Skye the group moved to the Isle of Kyle Lochalsh to visit the Eilean Donan castle, and after a short transfer, the famous Loch Ness (no one could see the monster!!). The next step was the Shetland Island: the group took a flight to explore the island and visit the Isle of Yells and the Isle of Unst. The tour ended in Edinburgh, where the group visited the Scottish Parliament, the Edinburgh Castle, and the famous Royal Mile.
